- Collect actual battle scars and get a tan as you quest - fight or weave spells, in glorious real-time combat
- Interact with other characters in the game, in all-new ways -- everything from laughing at their jokes to flipping them off
- Ever-changing landscape offering new challenges to face, and places to explore
- The townspeople will accompany you on quests, and if you become popular enough they'll even start imitating your style of hair&clothes
Fable is themost immersive and ambitious role-playing game you'll ever see. It puts you in charge of a character's life from childhood to old age. You decide if they'll be a hero or villain -- watch him grow from nervous teenager to powerful warrior. Muscles will grow, lessons will be learned, and most importantly - change your world forever! Watch as your character's body changes according to his choices -- he'll grow horns if evil, and wear a halo if good; he'll even get wrinkles in his old age
Fable: the lost chapters (2009-03-07)
My boys, ages 16 & 12, asked me to buy this for them. They love the game and play it as often as they're allowed. It is exciting, fun and has a lot of scope to keep them entertained. I (as a parent) would not recommend this game for anyone under 12. Some of the content is rather mature.
Top notch entertainment (2009-02-25)
I borrowed and beat the original when it came out and sort of forgot about it for awhile. I stumbled upon a copy of The Lost Chapters for $10 and almost didn't get it. I'm definitely glad I did. The extra main quest doesn't take long, but it's very fun and makes this a more complete game. And having extra side-quests and towns to go to makes it totally worth playing.
For those that can't handle the massive open-ended Morrowind or Oblivion, but still want an adventure RPG in a similar style, this game is for you. The graphics are excellent, even though a little cartoonish, but I think their very unique. The music is quite good and the gameplay is fun and challenging. The story is basically your character's life. When he's a boy until an old man, or until the end of the main quest. It's not incredibly interesting with Jack of Blades, who is a bit underdeveloped and very mysterious, and your sister, and mother, but it's decent enough.
We all know the story isn't the main thing here though, it's your character. Your actions and your looks are the big thing with Fable. You get to customize your character throughout the game. Haircuts, tattoos, clothing, you name it. And when you drink too much beer, you get a big gut, and when you kill everyone and steal, you grow horns and are surrounded by flies, and your eyes turn red. When you are good, you have a halo and butterflies surround you, and you have bright blond hair. Even if you are hit a lot, you develop scars. This is a very detailed and open game, and while not as open as others, it's a unique experience and has something to offer to everybody.
Fable the Lost Chapters, a complete fable 1 (2009-01-13)
Fable: The Lost Chapters is a flawless masterpiece and a must have for any RPG/Action Adventure loving xbox owner. A game that in my opinion is better than the new Fable 2 on 360
Great (2009-01-06)
this game has missions in it that are not found in the original game. I recomend this game to anyone who liked doing the missions in the first fable. Some are humorous some are serious but over all a wonderful buy.
Very good service! (2008-12-27)
